Annual Training Camp CATC 510 at Atma Malik International School, Shahapur: A Success Story for Arya Gurukul Air NCC Cadets

From June 4th to June 13th, 2024, the 1 Maharashtra Air Squadron National Cadet Corps (NCC), Mumbai B Group, hosted the prestigious Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC 510) at Atma Malik International School in Shahapur. Over 400 Air NCC cadets from 15 schools and colleges all over Mumbai, Thane, and Nasik districts gathered together for an immersive experience which was aimed at enhancing leadership abilities and refining other essential skills. 

A Varied Range of Engaging Activities and Competitions
The camp aimed to cultivate a holistic cadet development through various workshops, insightful guest lectures, rigorous drills, captivating cultural performances and spirited competitive events. Cadets enthusiastically participated in solo singing, solo dance, group dance, drawing competitions and engaging sports like tug of war, running, drill competitions, quiz contests and aeromodelling. 

Remarkable Achievements by Arya Gurukul Cadets: Arya Gurukul Air NCC excelled at the camp, winning several notable awards:

1. Sports Achievements: 

  • Flt Cdt Yatharth Patil won the Tug of War JD category. 
  • Flt Cdt Rutu Kitlekar won Tug of War JW and earned a silver medal in JW 100m Running. 
  1. Cultural Achievements:
  • Flt Cdt Tiahna Pillai was the first runner-up in JW Solo Dance. 
  • Flt Cdt Swadha Tiwari won Best Solo Dance and was honored as the overall Best Cadet. 
  • Flt Cdt Chirag Rajput and Flt Cdt Pranav Tawade led their team to victory in Overall Best Group Dance. 

Academic and Personal Growth: Cadets actively engaged in theoretical and practical sessions, focusing on personal development and gaining valuable insights into essential armed forces skills. They received mentoring on important values like positivity and crisis management, and collectively pledged to combat drug addiction. 

 

 

 

 

 

Recognition and Encouragement: 

Camp Commandant Grp Cpt. Sangram Nayak Sir, along with Principal Radhamani Iyer and Sports Director Deepa Verma, praised Arya Gurukul cadets for their dedication and achievements. The support from Ano, T/O Bhairavi Nair, Air Wing NCC In charge, boosted their motivation to a great level. 

CATC 510 at Atma Malik International School helped cadets improve their skills and work together better. They won awards and are now ready to face new challenges, thanks to their families, teachers, and mentors who supported them.
