Arya Gurukul celebrated its 12th Annual Day function on 18th April 2018 for the Primary section and on 19th April 2018 for the Secondary section. The grand function took place at Savitribai Phule Kala Mandir at Dombivali. The occasion was graced by the presence of our Chief Guests- Mr. Jagannath Shinde and Mr. Prakash Rao. Special guests present were Dr. Prakash Patil and Nishchil Narayanji.
The program was a grand success made by the presence of our lovely parents and guardians. The Theme for this year’s Annual Day function revolved around honouring the life and history of the great Maratha leader- Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
Our students did us proud and proved that Arya Gurukul is a top CBSE school in Dombivali by their brilliant depiction of various facets of Shivaji Maharaj’s life, which brought out aspects of Mother’s love and his triumph over enemies. Our student actors and dancers made the stage come alive and kept the audience engaged for almost 2 hours through their dialogues, well- choreographed war scenes and brilliant dance performances which can be seen in top schools in Mumbai.
During the function, the students of 1oth Std were also felicitated for their performance in their exams.
While addressing the audience, Chairman of Arya Global Group of Schools, Mr. Bharat Malik applauded the beautiful display of talent by all the performers and encouraged everyone who contributed to making the event a grand success.
Education today Foundation also honoured Indraman Shadev Singh, Paramjeet Singh, Dr. Arundhati Chavan and Vaijayanti Gholap with Lifetime Achievement Awards.
Thus the Program was a Kaleidoscope of colours with a beautiful set and colourful costumes depicting Shivaji Maharaj’s Era. The audience was kept captivated till the end of the program. The function ended by the chanting of mantras and a beautiful version of ‘Hum honge Kamiyab’.
